2 Offline Marketing Methods That Can Get You More Website Traffic

2 Offline Marketing Methods That Can Get You More Website Traffic
By Randall A Magwood

Hey guess what? Did you know that you could promote your website OFFLINE? It's true, and a lot of people do it everyday. Whether it's in the form of a classified ad, a display ad, or even a full page ad, online entrepreneurs are using offline marketing techniques to enhance their sales and profits.

But I do have to tell you something. You will get a lot less response and visitors to your website when comparing offline to online marketing. But, you will find that your offline visitors convert at a much higher rate, and they are great buyers for other products that you may have. Would you like to learn some techniques for getting offline customers to your website? If so then great! Here's the first technique:

1) Get involved in your local chamber of commerce

This is a great way to meet and interact with other business owners in your area that you can do collaborative work with. You may even have an offline business owner there who sells similar products that you do. In such a case, this would be a great opportunity to try and form a joint venture.

Just because one of you is offline and online, it doesn't mean you-two can't work together. But just make sure that you're not trying to do a joint venture with someone who is a rival competitor of your's. This is something that I have learned the hard way, and I can assure you that I'm not recommending you that do this at all.

This could be a disastrous situation, because even though you both might make money... a lot of YOUR customers will be added to their customer list. And this is bad because 80% of the profits in your business will come from selling more products to your existing customers. Here's another technique:

2) Display ads

I've seen a tremendous amount of display ads where the advertiser is sending all of their viewers to their website. There's nothing wrong with that. If the advertiser spend $500 to run a display ad in a magazine in their niche, and they want to quickly make their money back... they could be leading the offline traffic to their website, compel them to download their free report/eBook/MP3/etc... and then attempt to sell a $500 product to make up for the ad cost.

I definitely see this a lot. Typically the advertiser is clever in the way that they do their marketing, and from the examples I've seen, they always seem to make their conversions and numbers work. This takes practice, but it's an example of how a small marketing piece can produce great results - from an audience who are primed and ready to buy something that will change their lives for the better.

You can do the same thing. When doing offline marketing, start small, and measure your success. You can do some simple direct mail and send out some postcards. You could run a classified ad. You can run an advertorial. The options are there if you want to pursue. It could pay off BIG in the long run.
